Zhenya Parish Art Show

sPACYcLOUD brings together artists, musicians, poets, and visionaries of all kinds to create unique blends of sights and sounds.

On January 11 our sPACYcLOUD Lounge hosted a Live Painting event where Zhenya Parish, a classically and culturally trained painter, created a stunning original painting in front of (and with the help of!) a live audience.

Accompanying her were three experimental music acts. Kacey Raj of BOAYT performed a wide-ranging improvisation on amplified acoustic guitar; the drum/guitar duo of Nate Scheibel and Layne Garrett crafted provocative and dynamic soundscapes; and experimental live coder NorthWoods (Charlie Kramer) conjured soothing and abrasive textures. Meanwhile, Miss Kelly D, a psychic intuitive and Divine Channel, offered audience members insight and advice on their life path and energetic relationships using the art of tarot reading. Afterwards, audience members and performers passed around a guitar to keep the music flowing.
