Jason H. Jin Kim is an artist based in Washington, D.C.  He studied Painting and Drawing at Governor‘s School for the Arts and Maryland Institute College of Art. He earned his B.A. in Political Science at UC Berkeley and his J.D. at Georgetown Law. For as long as he can remember, he doodled, scribbled, and painted using whatever he could find. His style is influenced by early 20th Century German Expressionism as he emphasizes the subjective perspective of an artist’s ideas and emotive values over the replication of what is real.  Spontaneous lines, bright colors, gestural marks, and heavy brush strokes characterize his drawings and paintings.
